sauteed farmers' market greens
opening day at the roslindale farmers' market! it was packed with people, produce, flowers, vendors, and a live band. i am a huge roslindale advocate, and love living a half mile from the square.
massachusetts has had a cold, long winter that is only now allowing spring, so the booths were crowded with lettuces, herbs, and small plants. i bought big bags of mixed cooking greens and kale, and plan on cooking it my favorite way over the next few days:
- saute garlic for 1 min in olive oil
- mix in washed greens, salt, fresh pepper, and lemon juice or basalmic vinegar.
- serve with a little grated parmesan (optional)
