summer is near!

friday was my last day of classes in the art room, although my last day is not until june 22nd.  the art show is over and we have the big washington dc trip next week (driving the 8 hours with 2 bus loads of 8th grade students - sketchbook and headphones required!).

as a treat, i took the students outside yesterday after we finished passing out and packing up their artwork.  it was an exceptionally beautiful day, with blue skies and sunshine.
