seitan stroganoff

this is dave's recipe.

but he was in a bike accident yesterday (an suv hit him.  he's okay, but in a neck brace), so i am taking care of him today (or trying to.  he's too good at taking care of himself).  i scrubbed the house from top to bottom (even the insides of cabinets and the back porch), bought groceries (since i'll be home at 8:00 p.m. for the next two nights because of parent conferences), and made him one of his classic dinners.

basic recipe (please experiment*):

sautee
+ onions
+ garlic
+ mushrooms

mix with
+ frozen peas
+ seitan
+ soy sauce/worchestire sauce
+ salt and pepper
+ cooked whole wheat bowtie pasta

it's actually a really delicious, hearty winter meal.

* i added red wine, sage, and vegetable broth to dave's basic recipe
