summer project 2014

A big perk of teaching (besides working with kids and art) is clearly summers off.

I've had so much fun with summer projects in the past:

2009: art studio

2010: wedding

2011: kitchen

2012: weekly beach paintings

2013: live models

but this year has already been predetermined:

2014: baby girl!

Beyond crazy amounts of nesting and setting up her nursery, I have been patiently working on a few things (she is more than a week late = patience little grasshopper).

I set up a private blog, so that I can record little snippets for her without overwhelming this blog (which will remain "things I make with my own hands").

I have been working on hand-written journals as well (since I'm the sentimental type).
